Our latest collaborative work between Alex Bredar and Miles Blanchet (Comes group) is published in ACS Catalysis! We show that ORR electrocatalysis with spinel MnFe2O4 thin films is quite different than electrocatalysis with MnFe2O4 nanocrystals previously published in literature. This is attribute to a low Mn-surface site density where Mn is know to drive ORR catalysis.

Tenure and Promotion!
We are excited to announce that Byron has been granted tenure and promoted to Associate Professor at Auburn University. Thank you to all past and present students for your hard work in this journey. It would not have possible without you!
Welcome New Group Members
We want to give a warm welcome to new group members Musharraf Hossein (graduate), Greydon Franck (undergraduate), and Cali Garcia (undergraduate).
Congrats Motiur – PhD!!!
Congratulations to Motiur Mazumder for successfully defending his PhD! He is the second PhD student to graduate from the group and will continue as a postdoc with Shelley Minteer at the University of Utah.

New Publication – OER catalysis with LaFeO3 thin films
Our latest collaborative work by Andricus and Rajendra (Comes group) shows the OER electrocatalysis with LaFeO3 single crystalline films is highly dependent on both surface defect states and bulk conductivity through the lattice. A balance of both is necessary to achieve the best catalysis.
