Summer Party 2019
The group gathered at the Farnum house to celebrate the summer and Chase’s Masters graduation. It was also Olivia’s first of many group parties.
Chase Defends His Master’s Thesis
Congrats to Chase on his successful defense of his Master’s thesis! We will greatly miss his knowledge and presence in the lab. We wish him the best of luck on his move to Africa!
Summer Science Institute 2019
Another great week of teaching solar energy conversion and storage to high school students at Auburn’s Summer Science Institute. Students tested the photovoltaic properties of amorphous silicon solar cells and then built Cu/Zn batteries to store their solar energy. Batteries were then discharged to power an LED. This year, we got the disco ball to light up through multiple batteries! Check out the video below.
