Niharika Dalpati was awarded a posthumous PhD from Auburn University at the Fall 2023 commencement. The framed diploma was sent to her family.

A new graduate student, Charles Daramola, has joined the team! Charles comes from Nigeria and is eager to get started synthesizing new ligands for multi-electron redox storage with transition metal complexes.

A recent manuscript in collaboration with the Comes group in Auburn Physics was accepted for publication in the Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology A. This work was led by Comes group member Rajendra Paudel and discusses how band alignment between LaNiO₃ and LaFeO₃ can impact OER electrocatalysis at the LaFeO₃ surface.

Congrats to former graduate student, Dr. Amanda Musgrove (formerly Chown), for accepting a staff scientist position at Oak Ridge National Lab. She formerly was a postdoc at Los Alamos National Lab. Good to have you back on the eastern half of the U.S.!
